The Stories We Hold: Storytelling Workshop

Saturday, January 18 • 11am

In a world where we can turn on our tech and seemingly find anything we want in a split second, we sometimes forget that the best things are right inside of us. The stories we hold need to be shared, written, recorded, or in some other way preserved. But first we have to find them.

Join Kingston’s own Storyteller Laureate Karen Sangaline Pillsworth as we discover the stories within us, the real history of our lives, the precious memories too often lost.

In this two-part workshop (Saturday, January 11 & 18), we will:

  • hear stories
  • workshop our own stories
  • have the opportunity to tell and preserve them

Often times when our elders leave us we say, “I wish I could hear their voice just one more time”. Let’s make this happen for future generations…let’s start with just one story…

Space is limited, and registration is required. Please note that by registering, you are committing to attend both sessions, as they are designed to be experienced together.

Registration opens Saturday, December 28 at 8am
