Kingston Library Renovation
Established 1899
Your Library, Your Community
The Kingston Library’s planned renovation project will modernize a historically significant Midtown building, enhancing this valued community asset with 21st century resources to better serve EVERYONE.
The library has been working on a major renovation plan for the last 10 years. We interviewed residents, business owners and civic leaders in 2013 to hear what the community wanted from their library. The library board listened to your input and created a master plan to give Kingston residents the library they deserve. This plan included the recent renovations to the Children’s and Teen rooms, and improvements to the outdoor spaces. Funding the remaining renovations through a bond is the most cost-effective option for completing the library project master plan.
Kingston residents had the opportunity to vote on funding the final phase of the library renovation project on Sept. 20, 2022. and was approved.
