Each of these kit focuses on a time or topic in the past as a starting point for discussion. That’s because remembering is an important activity for all of us, of every age. Getting together with friends and talking over shared memories reminds us of good times that we’ve had. It helps us to put our past in perspective. When you use memory triggers such as the resources in these kits with a mixed-age group, the older adults have the opportunity to share their experiences and younger people benefit from the lessons of the past.
These kits are just right for programs in nursing homes, senior centers, schools, community organizations, church groups, retirement housing, AARP groups, and family reunions.
