Seed to Sale: Cannabis Industry Workshop

Seasoned Gives, in collaboration with the Cannabis Workforce Initiative (CWI), is excited to offer an informational session on the emerging Cannabis Industry. “Seed to Sale: Rights and Responsibilities of Employer and Employee” will empower the cannabis industry by educating and empowering individuals interested in the rapidly growing cannabis industry.

The cannabis industry is poised to create over 50,000 jobs in New York State, offering significant opportunities for career advancement and entrepreneurship. Seasoned Gives and Cannabis Workforce Initiative are dedicated to promoting social equity and community engagement by providing workforce development and worker rights training.

 

Workshop Highlights:

  • Comprehensive Overview: From the cannabis plant’s anatomy to cultivation methods. participants will gain a thorough understanding of the seed-to-sale process.
  • Job Opportunities: Exploration of various roles across the cannabis supply chain, including cultivation, manufacturing, retail, and distribution.
  • Rights and Responsibilities: Detailed discussion on the legal rights and responsibilities of both employers and employees under the New York State Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA).
  • Environmental and Safety Standards: Insight into best practices for maintaining safe and compliant cultivation and manufacturing environments
