Adults Teens,

Mindfulness for Everyday Living

Tuesday, July 16 • 6pm

July’s Mental Health Challenge is to try stress management techniques. We all know that a little bit of stress is a normal part of life, but chronic stress can negatively impact your mental *and * physical well-being. Engaging in stress management techniques is effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Instructor Stephanie Speer says, “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf.”

Within a safe and supportive environment, this experiential workshop will provide an opportunity to learn simple ways to meet the stresses and challenges of everyday life and difficult life circumstances with greater ease, balance, and control.

Based upon the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, participants will learn various formal and informal mindfulness practices that can easily be integrated into daily life and available to you anytime and anywhere.

No registration required. This event is for teens and adults.

As a trained instructor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Stephanie Speer has been teaching mindfulness to individuals and groups for over 30 years.
