Improv Workshop

Saturday, July 1 • 2-4pm

This workshop is for middle and high schoolers who are curious about improv comedy or want to brush up on their skills. We’ll play a series of fun and goofy games that will teach you how to perform an improvised scene, create a character, and unlock your spontaneity! In just two hours, you’ll get a taste of what improv is all about and have fun exploring your creativity in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Maclain Maier is the creator of Funny Kid Comedy Class, which is now accepting funny kids for the summer class! He performs with Happenstancery Improv troupe, Siren Theatre, Arm-of-the-Sea Theater. He graduated from Pratt Institute with a BA in Creative Writing. You’ll find him busking on the streets as half of the clown duo Mac&Cheese.
