Come this Fall, the Library will be moving from our beloved home on Franklin Street. We expect the building to be closed for about 18 months while the renovations take place. To that end, we absolutely MUST clear the collection of books the Friends have.
Our loss is your gain! This is our FINAL Book Sale!
It’s our $5 Bag -or all you can carry- Special! Please help empty the shelves. Support your Friends and collect your summer reading titles.
Tell your family. Notify your neighbors. Wrangle up your coworkers. Televise to the block. Gather the kids. Please get the word out that the Friends must empty the cellar ASAP.
All sales contribute to the Friends of Kingston Library and our ongoing mission to generate support for library programs, increase community awareness of the library, and to encourage greater use of the library and its resources.
Book sales are cash or check only. Please note that the cellar is accessed by a flight of stairs. No early birds, please.
Libraries need Friends — it’s as simple as that.
Want to get involved? The Friends could always use more friends, both in general and as the recording secretary and as a coordinator for our occasional events. Our hybrid (in person at the library or via Zoom) is the second Tuesday of the month from 6 to 7pm.
Our next meeting is July 11th.
