Book Discussion: When I Grow Up

Friday, January 27 • 3:30pm

For Holocaust Remembrance Day, we will be talking about Ken Krimstein’s graphic nonfiction book, When I Grow Up, based on newly discovered autobiographies of Jewish teens on the brink of WWII—found in 2017 hidden in a Lithuanian church cellar.

These autobiographies, long thought destroyed by the Nazis, were written as entries for three competitions held in Eastern Europe in the 1930s, just before the horror of the Holocaust forever altered the lives of the young people who wrote them.

Ages 13-18. Everyone who registers will get a FREE copy of the book to pick up before the event.
