In partnership with RUPCO and Ulster County, the Plus One ADU program provides up to $125,000 to assist Ulster County low-moderate income property owners with grants to construct or rehab code-compliant Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) to create affordable housing.

Applications will be available starting on September 17. Grant funds support homeowners in constructing a new detached or attached ADU. As part of the new Kingston Forward zoning code passed in August 2023, ADUs are legal to build throughout the City of Kingston. An information session will be held in the Kingston Library Community Room at 61 Crown St at 6pm on September 26th.  Interested applicants are highly encouraged to attend.
