Have a college application essay you need to write? Don’t know where to start?
In this workshop, led by a professional college essay coach, students will learn about writing the kind of strong Personal Essays colleges use to gain a better understanding of the person behind the application. This talk will help students become fluent in the moves these special narratives make, allowing them to develop and evaluate their own drafts as expert readers.
With an MFA from Columbia University, Carin Jean White has spent more than a decade assisting students and professionals with their writing. In addition to her work as an independent college essay coach, Carin serves as a Writing Consultant and Lecturer at Columbia, working with both graduate and undergraduate students as well as delivering workshops on the college application essay (for Columbia’s High School Summer Intensive).
