A presentation will be given titled, “Understanding Your Medications: A Medication Management Safety Discussion” by Susan Bengal, a Bachelors-prepared Registered Nurse who is currently in the Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh.

The presentation is focused on medication safety and knowledge for the patient so that they may have better understanding and knowledge of general medication safety. To empower adults in the community to understand their medications and further, enable self-care, as well.

Bengal is working towards a Masters of Science in Nursing degree and has been working in healthcare since 2005. She has worked with the full spectrum of patients throughout her career across the country, and is currently employed at a few area hospitals and agencies as a staff RN (Registered Nurse) and will be specializing in Gerontology as a nurse practitioner.

The talk is free and open to the public.
