RBDigital: Check out your favorite audiobooks, comics, eBooks, educational offerings, magazines, newspapers, videos and much more from your library. There are two services with unlimited patron access: Audiobooks and Digital Magazines. There are six services that have monthly circulation limits of two weeks of unlimited use, which can be used to view one service (for two weeks) or two services (for one week each). Those services are: AcornTV (British TV), Great Courses Library Collection, IndieFlix, Method Test Prep, Pongalo (Spanish-language telenovelas and translated movies), and Qello Concerts by Stingray. Kanopy: More than 26,000 streaming films, documentaries and training covering various educational topics and feature films: business, the arts, training, foreign language films, health sciences, media and communication, natural sciences, social sciences, teacher education and more. Universal Class: Lifelong learning courses in over 30 subject areas, many of which offer continuing education units (CEUs). More than 500 courses are available, and all are designed and led by professional instructors to build deeper understanding and mastery of subject matter. Hoopla: A digital media service that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! Niche Academy: An online learning platform that provides tutorials that teach people how to use library e-Resources like eBooks, research databases, and language learning tools. Library patrons have access to more than 20 tutorials through the Ulster County Library Association and Niche Academy. JobNow from Brainfuse: Practical tools to help you get a job, including career resources, resume, and interview help. JobNow also provides lifelong learning resources for those looking to brush up on their academic skills. Fold3 by Ancestry and ProQuest: Convenient access to U.S. military records, including the stories, photos and documents of the men and women who served. It contains millions of records from world-class archives, many of which are exclusively available on Fold3. Want to learn more? AncestryLibrary: Users can search historical and genealogical records, stories, publications, photos, and maps to learn more about their ancestors and family members. Please note that remote access to AncestryLibrary has been temporarily expanded to Kingston Library and other Mid-Hudson Library System cardholders, courtesy of ProQuest and its partner Ancestry. Additionally, there are nearly 500 million National Archives Records and online tutorials and video courses are available through Ancestry Education ResourcesPlease note that this at-home service is provided temporarily by Ancestry during the quarantine. Want to learn more? Heritage Quest: A genealogical database that allows researchers to search a wealth of historical collections and research guides. Users can explore documents such as U.S. Federal Census records and maps, digitized family and local history books, Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Application Files and the Freedman’s Bank Records (1865-1874), city directories, and more. There are helpful research aids on topics such as establishing a timeline to organize your research and a cemetery research primer. Want to learn more?
