The Kingston Library building is not currently open to the public. Our staff members are working hard to get ready to welcome you back.

The library began offering Curbside Pickup on June 29.

If you would like to return your items, our street-side book return on Prospect Street and the book return near the front door of our building are open and staff members are emptying them daily. Please note that items will be quarantined for three (3) days and will not be checked in until after that time. You will not be charged late fees.

We are excited to be able to get items to you.

Procedure for Placing Holds for Curbside Pickup

STEP 1: Place your holds (there is currently a hold limit of 10 items per card) using the library catalog at or by calling us here at the library at (845) 331-0507, or by using the myLIBRO app available on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store or by visiting


STEP 2: Select a day and time (during curbside hours) to pick up your holds.

Pickup days and times are as follows:

  • Mondays, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, 12:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Fridays, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Select your pickup day and time using the myLIBRO app, or by giving us a call at the library and setting up a time slot.

STEP 3: When your time slot rolls around, let us know that you have arrived at the library by calling the Circulation Desk at 845-331-0507 or indicate that you are here through the myLIBRO app.

STEP 4: When instructed, enter the lobby and retrieve your items. You must wear a mask while in the library building, as per a New York State Executive Order requiring masks be worn in public in places where social distancing cannot be maintained. In the entryway of the library, your items will be in a paper bag with the first four letters of your last name and the last four digits of your library card number (barcode), and return date receipt attached.
