Holidays and Bad Weather Conditions

1. Holidays

   The library is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday (half day), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, The Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day. Closings for federally designated 3-day weekends will be determined by the director. The library may close early on days before holidays, at the discretion of the director. Whether the library closes for additional days at any particular holiday other than the federally designated three-day weekend holidays will be determined by the Board of Trustees. In such cases, care will be taken to give paid holiday time to staff on an equitable basis.

2. Bad Weather

   The library will close or open for shortened hours during periods of bad weather conditions at the discretion of the director.
